About Hill Skills

“A Greenville Tradition Since 1970”

Hill Skills began 39 years ago as an event to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the landing at Albemarle Point in Old Charles Town. The event celebrated the heirlooms and traditional craftsmanship of the past.

Now, Hill Skills has become an annual event and a tradition of its own. We welcome creativity from exhibitors from every state, and encourage both the best of new art forms as well as the still popular traditions of the past. There are 200 booths every year.

At Hill Skills you will find workers still chopping out hand-hewn bowls, hammering pewter utensils, and weaving baskets of grass and wood. The crafts are made of indigenous materials and retain the traditional craftsmanship.

Always bringing the best of art and crafts, Hill Skills abounds in quality and astounds in variety!

Congratulations to Don McCullough, this year's guest artist.
